Capital Digitronics, Inc. is a locally owned company, engaged in the sales and service of two way radio equipment and microwave technology. We proudly serve the greater Capital District, upstate NY and the Adirondack Region. Our company was founded in 1975, making this our 50th year of service.

We are a L3Harris Silver Reseller & Tait Gold Dealer and are an L3Harris authorized manufacturer’s representative.  We also carry Motorola Commercial Radios, Unication pagers and Zetron products.  Our most popular models are shown on the Products tab.

We provide base station maintenance and mobile installations to Troops B and G of the New York State Police, and maintain radios and base stations for Regions 1 and 7  of NYS Department of Transportation (from Albany to the Canadian border). We are the Radio Maintenance Contractor for all of the New York State Thruway. Warren County selected us  to provide new Tait simulcast infrastructure for their County wide radio system, which is now up to 8 sites, with two more pending.

Our geographical service area includes Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Warren, Washington, Essex, Hamilton, Clinton, and St. Lawrence Counties. Our technicians are dispatched on a 24 hour basis from any of our three facilities in Hudson Falls, Keene, and Albany. These facilities are centrally located to provide quick, responsive service in all of our service areas. We currently have 23 full time employees, including office personnel, technicians, and installers.

At present we are working with our customers transition from analog to the APCO P25 Public Safety standard, and also to Digital Mobile Radio (DMR), which is the latest in Business and Industrial radio technology.

We have tower sites on Pinnacle Rd. in Albany County, Bald Mountain in Rensselaer County, Crawford Rd. in Schenectady County, Prospect Mountain in Warren County, and Willard Mountain in Washington County.  Pinnacle, Crawford, and Willard have space available for rent for customer owned equipment.

In 2023, Zetron awarded Capital Digitronics, Inc. Top Growth Partner of The Year for console installations at the New York State Thruway Authority, Warren and Washington Counties.
